Enable remote support

Enabling Hewlett Packard Enterprise Remote Support registers eligible devices with HPE support services. Service, diagnostic, configuration, telemetry and contact information will be securely transmitted to Hewlett Packard Enterprise. No other business information is collected and the data is managed according to the HPE Data Privacy policy.

NOTE: Once you register a device, it can never be un-registered. However, you can disable remote support for the appliance and all registered devices from the Edit Remote Support screen.


Prerequisites

Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Server administrator

Enabling remote support

  1. From the main menu, select Settings.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • In the Remote Support panel, click .

    • Click Remote Support and then select ActionsEdit.

  3. Check the Enable remote support box.

    The registration information appears.

  4. Optional: Check I consent to having HPE or my HPE authorized reseller contact me to discuss optimizing my IT environment.

  5. Enter the data requested on the screen.

  6. Select Register with HPE.

  7. Click OK.

  8. Verify the information in the details pane.
