Delete a volume
[IMPORTANT: ]

IMPORTANT: When deleting a volume, choose one of the following options:

HPE OneView and the storage system

Removes the volume from HPE OneView and deletes it from the storage system. This will result in the loss of all data on the volume.

HPE OneView only

Removes the volume from HPE OneView. The volume remains on the storage system, and must be managed manually until it is added back under management of HPE OneView.

Prerequisites 

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Storage administrator

Deleting a volume

  1. From the main menu, select Volumes.

  2. In the master pane, select the volume you want to delete.

  3. Select Actions→Delete.

  4. Review the confirmation message, if any, and click Yes, delete to delete the volume.

  5. Verify that the volume has been deleted in the master pane.
