Create a snapshot

Prerequisites 

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator, Server administrator, or Storage administrator.

  • You have created or added a volume.

  • You have configured a snapshot storage pool for the volume.

Creating a snapshot

  1. From the main menu, select Volumes.

  2. In the master pane, select the volume for which you want to create a snapshot and select Actions→Create snapshot.

  3. Edit the values shown on the screen. See Create Snapshot for more information.

  4. Click Create to apply your changes.

  5. Verify that the snapshot has been created by reviewing the Snapshot view in the details pane.
