Storage pools exist within a storage domain on a storage system. After you add a storage system and select a domain that contains storage pools, you can choose one or more storage pools to add to the appliance. Storage pools are created on a storage system using the management software for that system. You cannot create or delete storage pools from the appliance.

Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Storage administrator.

You have added a storage system that contains a domain with at least one storage pool in it.

Adding a storage pool

From the main menu, select Storage Pools, and do one of the following:

Click + Add storage pool in the master pane.
NOTE: The Actions menu is not present until you add at least one storage pool.

Enter the data requested on the screen. See Add storage pool if you need assistance with your entries.

Click Add to complete the action or click Add + to add another storage pool.

Verify that the storage pool has been added in the master pane.
