Set the appliance clock manually

NOTE: The time and date settings take effect after rebooting the appliance.


If you do not synchronize appliance clock with an NTP server, use the following procedure to set the clock manually.

IMPORTANT: Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends that you set the appliance clock when no other users are logged in and there are no running jobs.


Prerequisites 

  • Minimum required privileges: Infrastructure administrator

Setting the appliance clock manually

  1. From the main menu, select Settings.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • In the Time and Locale panel, click .

    • Click Time and Locale and then select ActionsEdit

  3. Select Manual.

  4. Click in the Current date and time field, then do one of the following:

    • Click in this field to display a calendar and digital time display that you can use.

      1. Use the calendar to select the date.

      2. Use the sliders to set the hour and minutes.

      3. Click Done.

    • Enter the date and time in the text field

      1. Enter the current date in yyyy–mm–dd format followed by a space character.

      2. Enter the current time in hh:mm:ss format.

      3. Click Done.

    NOTE: The browser displays the time according to your local time zone. The appliance console displays the time according to UTC (Universal Coordinated Time).


  5. Optional: Set the Default language / locale.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Restart the appliance. See Restart the appliance from the UI
