Restart the appliance from the UI

Use this procedure to perform a graceful shutdown and restart of the appliance from the UI. You are returned to the login screen.

Prerequisites 

  • Minimum required privileges: Infrastructure administrator.

  • Ensure that all tasks have been completed or stopped, and that all other users are logged off. Otherwise, restarting the appliance disconnects users and interrupts running tasks.

Restarting the appliance from the UI

  1. From the main menu, select Settings and then click Appliance.

  2. Select Actions→Restart.

    A dialog box opens to inform you that users will be logged out and running tasks will be interrupted.

  3. Select Yes, restart in the dialog box.

  4. Verify by logging in when the login screen reappears.
