Resetting a server

1. From the main menu, do one of the following:

   1. Select Server Hardware and select a server.

   2. Select Server Profiles and select a server profile.

2. Select Actions→Reset.

3. Select the type of reset to perform, do one of the following:

   • Click Reset to perform a warm reset that immediately resets the server without removing power.

   • Click Cold boot to perform a hard reset that immediately removes power from the server hardware, and then restarts the server after approximately six seconds.

   	NOTE: A reset and a cold boot can circumvent any graceful shutdown features the operating system might have.

4. To verify that the activity is successful, check the activity for a green status in the Notifications area.

   If the activity is not successful, follow the instructions in the proposed resolution.
