Server blades are automatically detected by the appliance when the enclosure is added. If you are adding a rack server, you must add it manually to the appliance.
Server hardware model
The server hardware must be a supported model listed in the HPE OneView Support Matrix.
The server hardware is connected to a live power source.
The server hardware must have a valid serial number and product ID to be managed by HPE OneView.
iLO firmware
The iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) firmware version must meet the minimum requirement listed in the HPE OneView Support Matrix.
IP addresses
IPv4 configuration is required.
iLOs on rack server hardware must have an IP address.
Local user accounts
Use the Add Server Hardware screen to bring HPE ProLiant rack servers under management of the appliance.

From the main menu, select Server Hardware, and do one of the following:

Click + Add server hardware in the master pane.

Select Actions→Add.

Select managed and enter the data requested on the screen.

Verify that the rack server has been added in the master pane.

You can add HPE ProLiant server hardware in order to inventory and monitor the hardware.

From the main menu, select Server Hardware and do one of the following:

Click + Add server hardware in the master pane.

Enter the data requested on the screen.

If you have more servers to add, you can add the next server immediately; you do not have to wait for the last Add Server Hardware action to complete before starting the next.

Verify that the rack server has been added in the master pane.
