Turn automated zoning on or off for a SAN

You can change the automate zoning setting for SANs that have zoning enabled. See Edit SAN dialog box screen details for more information.

NOTE: Automate Zoning is turned on by default for managed SANs that have the Zoned setting set to Yes and are associated with a network.

Prerequisites 

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Storage administrator.

  • The Zoned setting for the SAN is Yes.

Turning automated zoning on or off for a SAN

  1. From the main menu, select SANs.

  2. In the master pane, select the SAN for which you want to change the zoning setting.

  3. In the Zoning Policy view, hover your pointer over a SAN and click the Edit icon.

  4. In the dialog box, set Automate zoning to Yes or No.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Verify the change in the Zoning Policy view in the details pane.
