Overview

Screen component Description
General panel

The General panel displays the general properties of a rack.

Utilization panel

The appliance gathers utilization data on various metrics and displays them in the Utilization panel and the Utilization screen

[NOTE: ]

NOTE: Only iPDUs display utilization data.

Name Description
Power allocation meter

Depicts the allocated power and the calibrated maximum power of all devices mounted on the rack. This is not the current utilization of the rack mounted devices.

Allocated power is the total amount of power required by the contained equipment in the rack.

Capacity is the total derated power available to the rack. The lesser of the thermal limit or the derated power capacity delivered to the rack through all power delivery devices. If devices are redundantly powered, the total derated power capacity is divided by 2. If no power delivery is configured to the rack, the capacity is the total maximum power consumption of all resources in the rack.

Power values

The allocation and total capacity during the most recent 24 hour data collection period.

Temperature meter

Depicts the portion of the available capacity utilized during the most recent 24 hour data collection period.

Temperature value

The current aggregated temperature during the most recent 24 hour data collection period.

[NOTE: ]

NOTE: There are some cases where the Utilization panel does not display utilization data. See About the Utilization panel for more information.
