You can specify the identifiers and addresses when creating the server profile and connections for server blades. This enables you to migrate a server profile from Virtual Connect, or recreate a server profile if you delete it accidentally.

IMPORTANT: The appliance does not verify that user-defined values are unique. Be sure to provide unique values that do not conflict with existing physical identifiers and addresses. |

IMPORTANT: When manually recreating a copy of a Virtual Connect server profile (but not the enclosure that originally hosted the VC profiles) to use with HPE OneView, ensure that the Virtual Connect server profile remains unassigned to avoid address conflicts with an appliance server profile. Be sure to retain migrated server profiles in the Virtual Connect domain until you have migrated all the server profiles in the domain. You can delete the Virtual Connect domain after you migrate all the server profiles. This prevents Virtual Connect from reassigning identifiers and addresses from the migrated server profiles to new server profiles or connections in the domain. |
