Copy a server profile

You can copy a server profile to server hardware of the same server hardware type and in the same enclosure group (for server blades). If you are deploying multiple servers of the same type into the same enclosure, you can create a server profile template to streamline server provisioning. For more information, see Server Profile Templates.

Prerequisites

Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Server administrator

Copying a server profile

From the main menu, select Server Profiles.
In the master pane, select the server profile you want to copy.
Select Actions→Copy.
Specify a unique entry for Name.
Select either unassigned server hardware or a specific server hardware. You can select only servers that are powered off.
Specify any other updates you want to make to the server profile.

NOTE: You cannot change Server hardware type and Enclosure group.
Click Create.
Verify that the new profile was created in the master pane.
