Preparing for remote support registration

  1. If you do not have an Passport account, create one.

    Enter Passport and Password to enable Insight Online on the HPE Support Center. Your Passport, when linked to your HPE Support Agreement, gives you access to privileged support content on HPESC including patches and software updates. HP Insight Online provides cloud-based infrastructure management enabling you to access your IT information anytime, anywhere. Track service events and support cases as well as contract and warranty status for all your remote support devices, whether connected by HPE OneView remote support or Insight remote support.

  2. Set the web proxy.

  3. Collect the following information:

    • Contact information

    • Site information including address, time zone, and site name.

    • Channel Partner IDs for your authorized service provider, reseller/distributor, and installer if you want to allow them to view your device information.
