Manage SNMP trap destinations

Add an SNMP trap destination

Prerequisites 

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator

Adding an SNMP trap destination

  1. From the main menu, select Logical Interconnects or Logical Interconnect Groups, select the logical interconnect, and then do one of the following:

    • Select ActionsEdit.

    • Click the Edit icon.

  2. In the SNMP view, click Add trap destination.

  3. Enter the trap destination, community string, format, severity and type. See Add or edit SNMP Trap Destinations for more information.

  4. Click Add, or click Add + to add another trap destination.

  5. Click OK.

  6. To verify that the specified SNMP trap destination was added, locate the SNMP trap destination information in the SNMP view.

Edit an SNMP trap destination

Prerequisites 

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator

Editing an SNMP trap destination

  1. From the main menu, select Logical Interconnects or Logical Interconnect Groups, select the logical interconnect, and then do one of the following:

    • Select ActionsEdit.

    • Click the Edit icon.

  2. In the SNMP view, click the Edit icon in the trap forwarding row for the trap to edit.

  3. Make any changes to the trap destination, community string, format, severity and type. See Add or edit SNMP Trap Destinations for more information.

  4. Click OK to apply your changes.

  5. Click OK.

  6. To verify that the specified SNMP trap destination was changed, locate the SNMP trap destination information in the SNMP view.

Remove an SNMP trap destination

Prerequisites 

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator

Removing an SNMP trap destination

  1. From the main menu, select Logical Interconnects or Logical Interconnect Groups, select the logical interconnect, and then do one of the following:

    • Select ActionsEdit.

    • Click the Edit icon.

  2. In the SNMP view, click the Delete icon in the trap forwarding row for the SNMP trap to remove.

  3. Click Yes, remove to confirm the deletion.

  4. Click OK.

  5. To verify that the specified SNMP trap destination was removed, make sure the trap destination no longer displays in the SNMP view.
