Manage SNMP access for c7000 enclosures

Add access for an SNMP manager

Prerequisites 

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator

  • Not available for Virtual Connect Fibre Channel interconnects

Adding access for an SNMP manager

  1. From the main menu, select Logical Interconnects or Logical Interconnect Groups, select the logical interconnect, and then do one of the following:

    • Select ActionsEdit.

    • Click the Edit icon.

  2. In the SNMP view, click Add SNMP access.

  3. Enter the IP address or subnet of the SNMP manager.


    [NOTE: ]

    NOTE: Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.


  4. Click Add, or click Add + to add access to other SNMP managers.

  5. Click OK.

  6. To verify that the specified SNMP access was added, locate the SNMP access information in the SNMP view.

Edit access for an SNMP manager

Prerequisites 

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator

Editing access for an SNMP manager

  1. From the main menu, select Logical Interconnects or Logical Interconnect Groups, select the logical interconnect, and then do one of the following:

    • Select ActionsEdit.

    • Click the Edit icon.

  2. In the SNMP view, click the Edit icon in the SNMP access row for the address to edit.

  3. Make any changes to the IP address.

    NOTE: Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.


  4. Click OK to apply your changes.

  5. Click OK.

  6. To verify that the specified SNMP access was changed, locate the SNMP access information in the SNMP view.

Remove access from an SNMP manager

Prerequisites 

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator

Removing access for an SNMP manager

  1. From the main menu, select Logical Interconnects or Logical Interconnect Groups, select the logical interconnect, and then do one of the following:

    • Select ActionsEdit.

    • Click the Edit icon.

  2. In the SNMP view, click the Delete icon in the SNMP access row for the address to remove.

  3. Click Yes, remove to confirm the deletion.

  4. Click OK.

  5. To verify that the specified SNMP access was removed, make sure the access no longer displays in the SNMP view.
