Enable or disable enhanced type-length-value (TLV) settings

Enable enhanced TLV settings when creating or editing a logical interconnect group or logical interconnect.

Prerequisites

  • Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator

  • Minimum required VC firmware version: 4.30

Enabling enhanced TLV settings when creating a logical interconnect group

The default for enhanced TLV settings is disabled. To enable enhanced TLV settings, set it when creating a logical interconnect group.

  1. Create a logical interconnect group.

    • Select LLDP enhanced TLV under Interconnect Settings.

  2. To verify the LLDP enhanced TLV was set, make sure the setting shows Enabled in the Interconnect Settings view.

Enabling or disabling enhanced TLV settings on an existing logical interconnect group or logical interconnect

  1. Edit the logical interconnect group or the logical interconnect.

  2. Change the LLDP enhanced TLV setting located under Interconnect Settings.

    • Select LLDP enhanced TLV to enable.

    • Deselect LLDP enhanced TLV to disable.

  3. To verify the LLDP enhanced TLV was changed, view the setting in the Interconnect Settings view.
