Licenses panel screen details

You do not need to apply HPE OneView Standard licenses as they are automatically added to monitored servers and monitored enclosures.

Add license

Access the Add license dialog box by selecting Settings→Licenses→Add. See Add a license key to HPE OneView for more information.

Add a license key to the appliance

You can purchase standalone licenses and add them to the appliance so they can be applied to licensed instances (for example, servers). You can also add your existing licenses to the appliance.

HPE OneView requires a license for each instance that it manages.

Prerequisites

Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator, Server administrator
You have at least one license key
You activated and registered your new standalone licenses at the Hewlett Packard Enterprise licensing portal:

https://myenterpriselicense.hpe.com

Adding a license key to the appliance

From the main menu, select Settings and do one of the following:
- Click Add in the Licenses panel.
- Click Licenses on the Settings screen, and then select Actions→Add.
The Add License dialog box is displayed.
Enter or paste your license key in the License Key box and then either click Add to complete the action or click Add + to add another key.

If the key is valid, it will be added to the appliance. If the key is not valid, you will be prompted to add a valid key.


	NOTE: When you add licenses to the appliance, they are automatically assigned to any server hardware that does not have a license.
