Determine if a new appliance update file is available

You manually verify if a newer version of an appliance update file is available. An appliance update is installed from a single file during the update process.

Prerequisites

Minimum required privileges: Read only or Network administrator (to view appliance update versions), or Infrastructure administrator (to view and install appliance update versions)

Determining if a newer appliance update file is available

From the main menu, select Settings.
In the Appliance pane, note the current firmware version.
Select Actions→Update appliance, then click updates.

Compare versions to see if a more recent update file is available. If so, download the image file to your local computer.


	NOTE: You can download appliance updates from http://www.hpe.com/info/hpeoneview/updates to a system other than the appliance. The appliance does not need to have Internet connectivity.

Proceed to Update the appliance to complete the installation process.
