When you upload a backup file to the appliance, it replaces the backup file currently stored on the appliance.

To successfully restore a backup file, the appliance must be running a version of the firmware that is compatible with the backup file. If the backup file firmware version is not compatible with the appliance firmware version, an error is returned when you attempt to upload the backup file.
