Configure the appliance to send email notification of alerts

Configure the appliance to send email messages when specific alerts are generated.

Prerequisites

  • Required session ID privileges: Infrastructure administrator

  • SMTP settings and credentials, as needed

    IMPORTANT: Passwords are sent in clear text because this feature does not support TLS/SSL for SMTP sessions.

    If passwords are required for email accounts, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends creating a dedicated email account solely for email notification of alerts.


  • Alert email filters

  • For each alert email filter, the email addresses of the recipients
